An exclusive 2-day private tour to explore Iceland’s South Coast and Langmannalaugar.

We will take you to black sand beaches, waterfalls, lava fields, and volcanoes; we will cross rivers on our 4×4 jeep and drive to the rainbow mountains of Landmannalaugar, in the Highlands.

Visit popular places and hidden gems in all comfort and with a private guide.

Day 1 | South Coast | Accommodation in Kirkjubæjarklaustur

We will pick you up from your hotel in Reykjavik to start our adventure along the spectacular Icelandic South Coast.
We will visit the magnificent Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss, as well as the less known but equally beautiful Gljúfrabúi and Urriðafoss, usually omitted by regular tours.
You will admire the ever-changing landscape of Iceland’s south coast and, with good weather, you will be able to see the Westman Islands -volcanic islands just a few miles off the south coast of Iceland.
We will stop by the infamous Eyjafjallajökull volcano which erupted in 2010, and you will have a chance to walk to the edge of the Sólheimajökull glacier tongue, with its stunning black and blue ice formations.
We will see some elves’ houses and visit Dyrhólaey Cliffs, from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view on the Reynisfjara black sand beach and Reynisdrangar basalt sea stacks situated near the village Vík í Mýrdal, our next stop.
The last stop of the day will be Hjörleifshöfði Cave, before heading to the hotel in Kirkjubæjarklaustur.

There will be plenty of stops for you to explore Iceland at your own pace and in all comfort.

Day 2 | Landmannalaugar

We will visit the town of Kirkjubæjarklaustur, its captivating basalt formations, Systrafoss – the sisters’ waterfall, and an interesting local exhibition about Icelandic moss.
We will then start venturing into the Icelandic highlands, driving on gravel F Roads (where most cars and buses cannot drive) and crossing rivers, to discover special attractions off the beaten track. You will be able to hike up to the mesmerizing Fagrifoss waterfall and to the craters of Laki, which lay in a fissure between two glaciers. In Laki, you will have spectacular views over Skaftafell National Park and its glaciers. The hike takes approximately one hour.
The highlight of the day will be Landmannalaugar, possibly Iceland’s most spectacular place, with rainbow mountains whose colors just look surreal.
Here you can take a bath in a natural hot spring or take a short hike exploring the wonderful colors of these mountains.
On our way back to Reykjavik, we will make extra stops to see Hekla Volcano and the interesting Búrfell Mountain.

The tour has been designed for you to have the best experience in all comfort. Plenty of stops will be made on the way for you to take as many pictures as you like and explore Iceland at your own pace.
